Veera Simha Reddy is very reputed person in Andhra Pradesh, who always believes that faction disputes will only effect the families and pledges that he will take care of his village people from such incidents to offer them good lives. His son leaves to foreign countries for higher studies and earns a living there. But due to a dispute in the village, Veera Simha Reddy gets attacked and his son has to return to the village. The situations Veera Simha Reddy’s son has to face after the return forms the rest of the story.

Fans always love to watch Nandamuri Balakrishna in mass movies that has commercial elements and doesn’t care about the story much. If you see observe last few movies of Nandamuri Balakrishna, we can find similarities in the scripts from all the movies, but what makes it special is the way Balakrishna is presented on screen.
Veera Simha Reddy follows each and every rule of a commercial cinema, where hero introduction is done with huge elevation shots followed by a song, then a love track, followed by a fight & song and that goes on. This movie has nothing much in the story, but somehow keeps us engaged with the swag of Balakrishna and the way he delivers some powerful dialogues in the first half. Second half of the movie has some interesting scenes that will entertain Balayya’s fans to the core with an okayish ending.
Nandamuri Balakrishna looks very energetic in this movie and his dance moves are worth whistling in the theatres. Though he looked artificial in few scenes, his way of dialogue delivery will make his fans go crazy in theatres. Shruti Haasan did well and had a limited screen space, but she entertained with her dance moves in the songs. Duniya Vijay suited the role perfectly and did very well. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar did a similar role to that of her character from ‘Krack’ and she could have been a little better. Honey Rose and Lal did their part well in limited roles. All other actors did their part as required.
Technically Veera Simha Reddy movie looks very good. Thaman who broke the speakers in some theatres with his background music for ‘Akhanda’ had another superhit album and powerful background score for this movie. His music and background score are definitely one of the highlights in the movie. Rishi Punjabi’s visuals are are good. Fights are little over the top, but suits the mass image of Nandamuri Balakrishna. Production values by Mythri movie makers are top notch.
Director Gopichand Malineni delivered another mass masala entertainer with very thin story line just like his previous movies, but managed to entertain Balayya Fans with needed elevations scenes and dialogues.
As a whole, Veera Simha Reddy movie has some powerful dialogues and elevation scenes that might entertain mass audience. Result of this movie will be decided with the acceptance of family audience.
