Written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan, Ariyipuu, also titled as declaration at International Film Festivals, was nominated for the Golden Leopard award at the 75th Locarno Film Festival. The premise of the plot revolves around the life of an immigrant couple. The plot, as shared by the makers, reads, “Hareesh and Reshmi, an immigrant couple from Kerala working in a medical gloves factory near Delhi, who aspire to go abroad for a better life. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, when an old video resurfaces among the factory workers, it opens up a Pandora’s box that threatens the couple’s jobs and marriage.”

Bollywood’s spy-drama, Code Name: Tiranga, written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, was considered to be one of the most disappointing releases of the year. Despite popular names and technical crew, the film failed at the box office and also did not make a mark at impressing the critics and audience. The story revolves around a RAW agent, on a mission across several countries. Disguised as a spy, she has one motto, i.e. to save her nation at all times, by making sure that she is in a race against time and sacrifice is her only choice.

This Telugu-language thriller drama released in 2020 and received mediocre response from the audience. As per reports, she gets kidnapped by a mysterious man, but there is no clue about his motive, plan and more. The investigation that follows to find her safe, becomes the central plot of O Pitta Katha.

After releasing three successful seasons in the Indian Predator series, the makers of the Netflix Crime-Documentary have planned yet another intriguing season titled Beast of Bangalore. This season will showcase the crime committed by Uday Shetty, who was arrested for murdering women in the city, in the night. Despite rigorous crime, his punishment was reduced from life imprisonment to 30 years in jail, because of the mercy plea. The official synopsis, as shared by Netflix, reads, “A vicious predator’s brutal — and murderous — pursuit of women sends a faltering police force on a wild hunt, while a state reels in terror.”

To keep this safe, he makes every effort possible, however, becomes a part of dangerous international power politics. Sharing the premise, Netflix, said, “A rookie lawyer at the CIA stumbles headlong into the dangerous world of international espionage when a former asset threatens to expose agency secrets.”

Recently released Bengali-language drama, Ananta, finally gets the OTT release. The premise of the film revolves around, a 40+ year old unambitious lonely man, Suvo, who meets Mistu, a school teacher every day and finds solace in this activity. Those few precious moments spent at the staircase without any exchange of words become special, but unsure if it could become a fully expressed relationship. However, he does not find Mistu one day, and this leads to concerns as she suddenly disappears.  What follows are events that begin the journey to find Mistu. Will she ever come back?

What follows through the series is how his father constantly bring him back to realty from a fanciful life. On the other hands, another motive is brewing with a mission to find the girl. The series of events which unfold between the two run parallel investigations becomes the crux of Yugi.
