New OTT Releases (January 23 to January 29, 2023): An Action Hero, Dear Ishq, 18 Pages, Ayali, Raangi, and More

Thanks to the upcoming Republic Day 2023 for falling on a weekday, Indians can enjoy an extended weekend and can binge on the content, which will be released on several OTT platforms. This week, i.e., January 23 to January 29, 2023, has a bit of everything for fans of different genres.

On the original content front, fans of regional content can enjoy Zee5‘s upcoming release, Ayali, which will release on a public holiday. Audiences interested in Hindi television content will be able to watch a new show, Dear Ishq, on Disney+ Hotstar, starring popular names from tinsel town. There is also Ayushmann Khurrana’s Action Hero that will be premiering on Netflix this week.   Meanwhile, film buffs are in for a treat as Trisha’s Raangi, Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka, and Nikhil Siddharth’s 18 Pages will stream on Netflix this week.

Sports enthusiasts will have their days planned with the Australian Open 2023 on SonyLIV and India vs. New Zealand T20Is on Disney+ Hotstar. Black Sunshine Baby | Netflix

Written by Aisha, Ishaan, and Aditi Chaudhary, Black Sunshine Baby, produced by Excel Entertainment, is a documentary about “Family memories and personal art movingly portrays author and motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary’s journey with an immune disorder and terminal illness.”

The film is directed by Nilesh Maniyar. Aisha’s story was also captured as a feature film, ‘The Sky in Pink‘, which starred Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra and Rohit Saraf in the lead roles.

Sharing the trailer, the makers introduced the premise with a message that read, “Abhimanyu aur Asmita ki kismat mein pyaar hoga ya war, ye toh waqt hi batayega!”

Fans of Telugu movies can rejoice as one of the highly anticipated films, 18 Pages, will make its digital premiere this week. The film was appreciated by the audience during its release in theatres. The concept of the film is unique and revolves around “Nandini, a young woman who suffers from short-term memory and loves to use a diary to keep track of her life. But, when her diary is lost, it is found by a young man. Drawn to the person he reads about, he sets out to find her.”

Presented as an action comedy, An Action Hero showcases a “Youth Icon. Superstar. Action Hero. At the age of just 30, Maanav was at the peak of his career when he got caught up in an accident while filming in Haryana. Maanav, who was once a household name, is now living in hiding.”
