The matches will kickstart on November 20 and continue until December 18, 2022, when the finals will be held. However, before the tournament kicks off, the highly anticipated 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony will be held. The ceremony will air on Sunday, November 20, 2022, and has been planned ahead of the first match between Qatar and Ecuador.
Reports earlier stated that the ceremony was planned for November 21, 2022. However, the organisers preponed the same along with the opening match, keeping up with the actual plans. Popular artists like BTS’ K-pop superstar Kim Jung Kook, Black Eyed Peas, Nora Fatehi and many others will perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.
